I thank Ms. Chu for her diligence and her persistence in getting this done. This is a moment for sober reflection. This is a time for us to understand that there is a lot of pain in the Asian-American community. There are people who are suffering, and it gives us an opportunity now to let them know that they are not alone, to let them know that liberty and justice for all applies to them, to let them know that we will stand against the hate as we stand with them. It is a time for sober reflection.
