Tim Floyd Burchett is an American politician and member of the Republican Party who has served as the U.S. Representative for Tennessee's 2nd congressional district since January 3, 2019. Born on July 25, 1963, Burchett has been active in Tennessee politics for several years, previously serving as the Mayor of Knox County from 2010 to 2018. He has a background in local government, which has informed his approach to federal issues.
