The absence of a long-term FAA reauthorization is a disservice to the agency and its hardworking employees.
The use of continual extensions not only creates uncertainty within the aviation industry.
Further delays in the passage of a long-term reauthorization bill slow the implementation of these critical policies, which are necessary for the United States to retain and grow its role as the world leader in aviation.
We appreciate the significant focus on both of these areas in the Securing Growth and Robust Leadership in American Aviation Act and believe that the included provisions will improve aviation safety.
Reauthorization of the FAA is Congress' critical tool for setting civil aviation on a long-term course to success.
