As stated in written testimony submitted for the February 15, 2022, hearing of the House Committee on Natural Resources regarding H.R. 2021, the Environmental Justice for All Act, in the absence of comprehensive environmental justice laws, environmental justice communities currently rely on a patchwork of statutes, regulations, and executive orders insufficient to address structural inequality.
