We simply must put the maximum effort we can into improving of our public schools for our children. By that, I mean all the children of this country, not just a select few that we can give vouchers or something else and give a lot of lip service, but I am talking about every child, no matter where they live in this country. We have a lot of work to do. Some of these things certainly are local responsibilities, no question about that. But we at the Federal level cannot walk away from our responsibility to help every child in this country.
