There’s no reason to worry that eliminating this widely despised piece of security theater will make Americans unsafe

It has been slow to respond at the federal level. It's even been slower to get the resources to Americans in crisis, and that is why this entire agency needs to be eliminated as it exists today, and remade into a responsive agency.

Federal emergency management should be state and locally led, rather than how it has operated for decades.

Because people start to mistrust anything that comes out over the news, and then they just don’t trust anybody.

Continuing to be political and push out fake information and false information and lies is not shocking, but it’s a disservice to the country.

Nobody there has said anything about not getting everything they wanted immediately or that they needed, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done to support that.

Our Coast Guard, our Border Patrol, BORTAC teams were there immediately. Every single thing they asked for, we were there.

FEMA doesn’t sneeze without spending that amount of money.

Failure to institute adequate changes immediately will result in the loss of all federal financial resources and continue to affect Harvard’s relationship with the federal government.

If Harvard won’t defend the interests of its students, then we will.

Temporary Protected Status was designed to be just that — temporary.

Harvard, like other universities, has allowed foreign students to abuse their visa privileges and advocate for violence and terrorism on campus.

We tried to do things the easy way with Harvard. Now, through their refusal to cooperate, we have to do things the hard way.

If Harvard won't defend the interests of its students, then we will.

We’re just getting started, we’ve implemented several transformational changes.

We are very confident that we can continue to provide hospitality to folks … while maintaining the same standard of security for passengers and our homeland.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be times where someone will have to remove their shoes.

We, as a federal government, don’t manage these disasters. The state does.

The long-standing policy requiring most passengers to remove their shoes at TSA checkpoints is no longer in effect.

A country that cannot feed itself, cannot take care of itself, and cannot provide for itself, is not secure, and we have to be able to feed ourselves to make sure that no other country ever controls us.
