Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists committed an unimaginable act of terror, killing more than 1,200 innocent men, women, and children – including 46 Americans – and taking 251 people hostage, 12 of them Americans.

By unanimously passing these commonsense reforms, the Senate is making it clear that the American people should not have to pay the price for flaws in our tax system.

One spouse should not bear the responsibility for another spouse’s hidden income or mistakes, and the Tax Relief for Innocent Spouses Act gives the Tax Court greater authority to review the full scope of evidence in appeal cases.

Keeping production at current levels would leave our country dependent on foreign energy sources, but by expanding nuclear energy here at home, America can power our future and pave our own way forward.
