One of the comments by my good friend, Mr. Polis from Colorado, was that Republicans were trying to end Medicare. That's a laughable comment. As a matter of fact, it is so laughable that hot off the press, the PolitiFact, which finds out whether or not there is truth or not in words: The political lie of the year is that Republicans voted to end Medicare. PolitiFact just named the political lie of the year the comment that Republicans voted to end Medicare. Mr. Speaker, I yield 3 minutes to the gentleman from South Carolina (Mr. Duncan).
