I am also encouraged by FERC's efforts to finally establish an Office of Public Participation, as well as efforts to prepare for and combat cyber attacks on our energy infrastructure.

As we continue to decarbonize the electric grid, I hope FERC will continue to be proactive and flexible in its approach to building out a grid with more distributed resources and in recognizing the benefits of innovative technologies.

Losing over 95,000 Americans to overdoses in 2020 is an unacceptable number. And we need to work fast to reverse this deadly trend.

I want to commend my colleague, Congresswoman Fletcher, for her work in developing legislation that embodies this principle.
