Bakari Sellers is a prominent Democratic political figure and commentator from South Carolina. I mean, there are a lot of people in this country who don't care about partisan politics. They put country over party.
People had three choices in this race, that's it. You either vote for Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, or the couch.
Donald Trump has made his position extremely clear. Not only does he want to penalize women for having abortions but yes, he wants to go to extreme measures before women even know if they're pregnant or not, six weeks like Florida.
This country's better than that. And then if you're on a debate stage, look at Donald Trump in the face and say, our daughters, our families, they're better than you, Donald Trump.
You have to call that out by name and you have to say, look, I see what Donald Trump is doing by saying I just turned black.
It's honest to say that he's been found liable for sexual assault. It's honest to say that he has five children by three baby mamas.
However, the blowback that Josh Shapiro has gotten is something that I deem to be unfair, but it is what it is.
I think Democrats have to embrace that, embrace that diversity, embrace where we are, embrace that we can push back against the underbelly of the country.
I think Kamala Harris understands as you'll see tonight, that there's no benefit in rolling around with pigs because you both get muddy and the pig likes it.
I believe when they go low, we go to hell and so I think that you have to fight fire with fire.
I believe in what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature. I do not believe that the underbelly of this country is going to win again.
The delegates at the DNC are going to vote for her. They begin tomorrow or August 1st. And so that will happen.
We're going to push back on these attacks that are the underbelly of the United States of America.
We're talking about how to educate our kids, how to make sure we have health care.
It's not only - it's irresponsible, it's impractical, it's politically impossible. I mean, Joe Biden is already on ballots around the country. You're not going to go and replace Joe Biden.
We either have - either you choose Donald Trump, who is somewhat of a sociopath, who led us down a path of financial ruin and destruction after inheriting a great economy, who said that he could touch women the way he wanted to touch them…
Either you vote for Donald Trump, you vote for Joe Biden or you stay on the couch.
Five out of the seven United States congressmen, Jim Clyburn being one and Ralph Norman being the other are the only two that have not come out and endorsed Nikki Haley Donald Trump for president of the United States.
They want the same old, same one. They want the xenophobia, the chaos, the bigotry.
Republicans don't want to be president of the United States, and that's fine with me as a Democrat.
At the end of the day, it's going to come down to the fact that Donald Trump is going to beat himself.
