I applaud the chairman for doing something that doesn't happen nearly enough in this Chamber. He is allowing an amendment to come to the floor that he opposes. I think that doesn't happen nearly enough here. I think it speaks volumes to some of the recent steps we have taken to improve Member participation in the process, and I think we will be better as an institution for it. Mr. Chairman, I reserve the balance of my time.

But after yesterday when she testified that he knew that there were guns on property and that he still encouraged people to go down to the Capital, that certainly changes my mind.
