On the recordDecember 1, 2025
I rise to pay tribute to LTC Anna Ko for her exemplary dedication to duty and service as an Army Congressional Fellow. Lieutenant Colonel Ko currently serves in the Army Congressional Budget Liaison Office. Lieutenant Colonel Ko was born in the Republic of Korea and moved to New York City when she was 9 years old. In 2007, she attended Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army's Logistics Branch. She earned a bachelor's degree in TV production from the City-University of Brooklyn and a master's degree in legislative affairs from George Washington University. Lieutenant Colonel Ko has served in a broad range of assignments during her 18 years as an Army officer, including company executive officer; battalion and brigade operations officer; company commander; and an aide-de-camp to a deputy commanding officer. She has served in multiple countries, including the Republic of Korea; Afghanistan; and Poland, in support of Atlantic Resolve. Prior to her selection to the Army Congressional Fellowship, she served with the 1st Infantry Division as the division supply and services officer, battalion executive officer, and support operations officer for the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team. This past year, I had the privilege of working directly with Anna in her role as an Army liaison, and she escorted me on multiple congressional delegations, including to Turkey, Lebanon, and Israel.
