On the recordMay 24, 1994
let me just make a few wrap-up points. First of all, as to how many airplanes we buy because, as the chairman said, we have two well-considered choices before us. The committee's version right now would have us buy four a year. The Department of Defense says that will foreordain the result, because the cost will be so expensive, so inordinate at four a year, that trickling rate, that the price itself will cause us to quit the program.
