It is The American Legion's position that a stronger piece of legislation is required to ensure the Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF) Veteran Caregiver Program includes but is not limited to, a comprehensive package, including, respite care, to minimize complacency while caring for severely wounded veterans, mental health counseling, health care coverage, and adequate financial support.
