The answer is no. I personally believe that it affects readiness; yes, I do. Does the majority of the military, men and women in the military, want homosexuals in the military? The answer is no, and, as long as the military leaders and those people feel that way, and if the gentleman could ever prove to me that that does not have an effect, then I will change that position, but that is the position currently, that it affects the national security and readiness of this country, and that is what I support.”
