I do not think there is anybody in this room that does not like clean air and clean water.

It is said that China will defeat the United States and other democracies not by its military. However, it will win by controlling the world market and international economy.

These failures do not help advance U.S. interests in the Western Hemisphere or the OAS.

It is unfortunate that it seems to me, from what I've heard today, it is democracy of convenience.

He rattled our allies and played into Maduro's hand when he threatened military intervention in Venezuela.

Sadly, over the course of the past year, we have lost a lot of influence throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

I strongly agree that these anti-competitive practices should be aggressively deterred and punished.

This seems, as a prosecutor, as a former U.S. Attorney, these are pretty intense and time-consuming processes.

It would seem to me that we could resolve these issues and these disputes quicker if competitors had limited resources in the courts.

I look forward to hearing the witnesses' views on these issues and whether our existing antitrust laws are equipped to address these antitrust concerns in the FDA approval process.

I think the U.S. on its own would have a tremendous impact on this, but we cannot change the minds of the leaders in China.

I am not a supporter of NAFTA. I have seen what it has done to my district, significantly.

I look forward to hearing from today's excellent panel of expert witnesses on these important issues, and I yield back.
