I think the Mayor of Chicago has handled it beautifully. She said she wanted to be cautiously optimistic, it certainly was a very thoughtful and kind response in spite of the declarations from the White House.

Ultimately, at the end of the day, in this monstrous organization called the Federal Government, the political appointees take their direction from the chain of command, and we all know where that begins and ends.
