Mr. Speaker, I ask unanimous consent that the House bring up the Senate amendment to H.J. Res. 59, the clean CR that would end this Republican government shutdown because Congress needs to do its job and put thousands of dedicated government workers back to work. The SPEAKER pro tempore. As the Chair previously advised, that request cannot be entertained absent appropriate clearance. The Chair will recognize Members for proper unanimous consent requests, but not speeches.
