I am encouraged that President Trump has put a priority on enforcement and that the American people finally have a partner in the White House with their best interests at heart.

I think that President Trump's commitment to getting an infrastructure package passed this year provides the perfect avenue to do that, whether it is through a gas tax, which I have consistently advocated for, or another user fee.

We have immigration laws for two reasons, to ensure the National security of the United States, and to protect American jobs.

I have been greatly disappointed by President Trump's proposed cuts to these vital programs, but remain committed to supporting much-needed homeland security grants to communities across this country.
