Lou Barletta: “What makes this promise to the American people any different than the one in 1986?”

It has been a frightening pattern by this President who continuously makes false statements about border security and immigration to the American public.

I have been greatly disappointed by President Trump's proposed cuts to these vital programs, but remain committed to supporting much-needed homeland security grants to communities across this country.

It is time to secure our borders, enforce our Federal laws, and put America first.

I think that President Trump's commitment to getting an infrastructure package passed this year provides the perfect avenue to do that, whether it is through a gas tax, which I have consistently advocated for, or another user fee.
