This Congress, we have made significant progress, bipartisan progress right-sizing the regulations on our financial sector.

Our financial sector has undergone significant changes in the past few years. We have witnessed a distressing trend of consolidation and closures, driven, in part, by overregulation.

I am encouraged by this Administration's work to ensure that nonbank lenders and fintech firms are subjected to clear and robust rules.

But some of the data has really come in, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, wages for most workers, by 80 percent, are actually down since the tax cut passed.
