Our financial sector has undergone significant changes in the past few years. We have witnessed a distressing trend of consolidation and closures, driven, in part, by overregulation.

An important principle supporting this effort is that we need to consider the cost and benefits of any major change.

This Congress, we have made significant progress, bipartisan progress right-sizing the regulations on our financial sector.

Now that the U.S. has withdrawn from the Iran deal, we have the opportunity to use additional sanctions to change the hostile behavior of the Iranian government.
