On the recordMay 23, 2001
I think we will find where we see those bright colors where the prices have been in the last year or two where we had spikes in the central part of the country; the year before in California; two years ago was up the East Coast where truck fuel prices were exorbitantly high. But where these special fuels are, our national system of pipelines does not work, because we have a different type of fuel than most of the country is using, and if one of our refineries goes down, then there is just not enough to go around, and so the price is going to go up for that marketplace. So this has really complicated the gasoline and truck fuel delivery system.
