I can say as someone new to the Committee on the Budget, I appreciate the gentleman's wisdom on this. If we are going to meet some of our obligations to families and communities and to local governments, we have to be able to correct this budget, work together. I think the President has suggested that. I know that the gentleman has always worked closely with Republican counterparts. As a new member of the Committee on the Budget, I know that we as Democrats and Republicans want to be honest with the American people, tell them the real consequences of what we are doing, and come to a budget resolution that will meet the obligations of the American people. I thank the gentleman very much for his detailed information. I look forward to working with him to accomplish that goal.
