I rise to honor the life and public service of Joe Metzgar, who recently passed away in Altoona, Pennsylvania. For over 20 years, Joe served as Logan Township supervisor. Many have noted that Joe could put a smile on your face even during intense discussions at meetings. A proud United States Air Force veteran, Joe has been described as an honest and fair supervisor who took a commonsense approach to all issues. In addition, Joe was a field auditor for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Mr. Speaker, as we pause to remember Joe's legacy of service, we also keep his entire family in our prayers. Join me in honoring the life of Joe Metzgar, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, who always had the best interests of Logan Township in his heart.
