“I must say that I have never seen a more evil thing than the suicide bombing vest that we inspected as part of the seized weapons and munitions that the Palestinians have stored illegally in the West Bank. The vest that we inspected from a distance looks innocuous. It is a plain gray, down-filled vest. Close inspection indicated that it was manufactured in China with a Western logo. So when the explosion occurs, it kills the suicide bomber, the explosive force kills and maims people around the bomber, and the ball bearings just shred the people that are in the vicinity of the bomber. Our delegation met with a former constituent of mine who is now a resident of Israel who was the victim of one of these bombings.”
