I always grew up with the notion that Chinese-Americans, the thousands upon thousands in our country, have always contributed to the culture and to the traditions and to the wealth of American traditions in their own right as we were developing as a Nation. So it came as a shock to me that we even need this resolution, notwithstanding some of the rigors of investigations and other kinds of alleged wrongdoing.
