I support the broader goal of $50,000. It would be incredible stimulus and an opportunity for so many to escape this deep burden.

But it had this provision that--this restriction that I think you have testified to--was unusual, that required reconsultation on January 6th in a fashion that deeply inhibited the ability to move quickly.

This six-step process seems totally unsuited to the situation of responding quickly to an emergency.

Will you be fair to Democrats and Republicans alike on issues that have been passed by legislation?
