Can you reassure us that the Federal Government will continue to adhere to using EPEAT standards in its procurements?

This is a case where there was a rare bone cancer with multiple folk being affected in a very small area.

This amendment is targeted at something that is very relevant to EPA, and that is cancers and the possibility that that cancer cluster is being caused by some toxic substance.

But I also support this amendment. Here is why. We have a compromise strategy in the bill.

Had this taken 2 years less, 4 years instead of 6 years, then we would have many thousands of high school and middle school students who are not being basically brought into the nicotine addiction world.

It is very important that we regulate this.

For every month of delay, it is additional Americans who are damaged.

Well, it has been a huge change in the uninsured rate in Oregon.

16.4 million Americans who were previously uninsured have now gained health insurance coverage through the different facets of the ACA.

They liked the previous strategy better. They found that more effective, and the ability to acquire more fuel-efficient vehicles and so forth.

The whole effort was to preserve farming and forest lands and it has worked relatively well, but it does not work well without good transit.

You consider that a valuable use of public funds, to help reinvest in our own economy?

Half of all transit riders do not have access to a private vehicle.

It is very predatory.

I do think that there is common cause on this Mortgage Debt Relief Act and the concern about short sale streamlining that was mentioned earlier.

I think we all want the mortgages to be affordable but not predatory, so they become a form of wealth construction.

We should be thinking about what additional protections we can provide.

Given the gravity of issues around the world, should the U.S. as a leader in the world not be engaged?
