Historically, medicines intended for use in the United States have been produced here. However, over the past several years, more drug manufacturing has moved offshore.

Recent recalls issued for a class of drugs known as angiotensin II receptor blockers, or ARBs, have led to public concern about the country's sourcing of finished drug products.

Making sure our Government agencies have the tools necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the U.S. drug supply is a top priority for this committee.

I have questions about this legislation.

It's a hell of a mess, but it's one that I would caution anybody who wants to get close to--

It's perplexing that we have this hearing to promote the use of liquid fuels and the Renewable Fuel Standard at the same time

I am sure H.R. 3006 is a well-meaning attempt to address concerns that biofuel feedstock producers have about the issuance of waivers.

Lastly, the process must be fair, open, and transparent.

Fourth, we should seek to make this critical mid-band spectrum quickly available for 5G.

Fifth, this process should not overlook the opportunity to also facilitate resources for connecting rural communities with broadband, and upgrading our emergency call centers to Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911)--all without any deficit…

Third, we must take interference concerns into account when redeploying the spectrum.

Second, we must preserve spectrum for those that are reliant on the current C-band services now and into the future.

First, the process must lead to auction revenues and spectrum allocations benefiting Americans in all parts of our country.

We are all Americans. I know we can work together to beat the command-and-control markets dictated by some countries to protect and expand their homegrown vendors' base for world dominance.

I appreciate that Mrs. McMorris Rodgers is leading this effort on the extension along with Ms. Kelly.

This subcommittee can do great things for consumers, and I want to be optimistic that we can move these items.

I think it is really important. We know the challenges of successfully moving legislative priorities through both Chambers in a timely fashion.

The SAFE WEB Act program also clearly reaffirms the authority of the Federal Trade Commission.

I remain confident that the bicameral bipartisan staff discussions that have been ongoing for months will shortly produce substantial results.

Mr. Chairman, thanks for holding today's hearing which seeks to review the challenges and opportunities associated with decarbonizing the U.S. transportation sector.

We are encouraged by his expressed willingness to develop climate policies through a collaborative approach that would ensure every affected community, industry, and stakeholder has a seat at the table.

We believe over regulation and high taxation hurts consumers, especially low-income consumers, and that can lead to economic stagnation.
