This is the Peer Support Communities of Recovery Act. This legislation will support the peer support specialist workforce by authorizing the Department of Health and Human Services to award grants to peer support specialist organizations for the development and expansion of recovery services. Peer support specialists, peer recovery coaches, are health workers who provide treatment linkages to individuals suffering from substance use disorder and support services to those newly in recovery.…
