I think I would like to close by saying that good government is about making wise choices. We must remember that it is the taxpayer who pays the cost of unwise choices. That, I believe, is why the National Taxpayers Union and Citizens Against Government Waste endorse my amendment. I think the C-17 is a flawed program. I think there are less risky military and commercial alternatives available to us. However, Mr. Chairman, I bow to the will of the House, and I withdraw my amendment.
