Cliff Bentz: “It is important that Congress exercise its oversight authorities on the executive branch.”

Mr. Chairman, this is an excellent bill, and we need it in Oregon. We have 30 million acres of trees. We absolutely need what this bill would provide.

Absolutely. I don’t have a study yet that shows exactly how great that demand is.

“The horrific wildfires in the West have cost families their property, homes, and in some cases, their jobs,” Rep. Bentz said.

What you would do is you’d go back to those existing roads that have been abandoned and you would cut the trees out of them and presto, you have your road back.
