I don't rise to oppose. I just wanted to commend my friend for bringing this issue and highlighting it. We think it is very important. We wanted to note that we support what he is trying to do. We certainly accept the amendment, and we look forward to working with him through the process to help achieve the objectives that he stated.

Like you, Mr. President, Steve has been the victim of lawfare conducted by the Biden Administration
The Senate has wasted the entire year and a half. They have not passed a single bill.
The bill before us is a clean, narrowly tailored continuing resolution that keeps the government open and operating. Nothing more. Nothing less.
It gives the nation and our constituents certainty, certainty that the government will remain open, certainty that our service members will be paid.
