HIV-AIDS, except in very rare circumstances today, is an absolutely preventable disease. Absolutely preventable. As long as we fail to recognize that, as long as we ignore that, we will never solve this epidemic, no matter how much money we put at it, no matter how much money we put into drug research, into compassionate care in the latter stages of AIDS, we are not ever going to do enough.
