And the American public will know what the true size is of the deficit that their Representatives are voting for each year, which in fact is significantly higher than what is reported in the press and by the Congressional Budget Office and the Office of Management and Budget, because it does not reflect this money borrowed from Social Security.

That is not partisan. That is just due to the fact that there is not a commitment to reconciliation and working together to get things done.
You beat the crap out of them when something goes wrong, so their underlying statement is never do what is best when you can do what is safe.
The important thing is to restore the confidence in the country, in terms of what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how you are doing it.
