Mr. President, I submit the following notice in writing: In accordance with Rule V of the Standing Rules of the Senate, I hereby give notice in writing that it is my intention to move to suspend Rule XXII, for the purpose of proposing and considering the following amendment No. 4003 to bill H.R. 3979, as follows: At the end of subtitle J of title XXX of division B, add the following: SEC. 30__. DEFERRED MAINTENANCE BACKLOG ON FEDERAL LAND. Section 7(a) of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (16 U.S.C. 4601-9(a)) is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(4) To address the maintenance backlog on Federal land.''.
