there has been a campaign of misinformation about this legislation. Americans have been told that this bill would deny them continued health insurance coverage for alternative medical treatments. This is untrue. This bill does not deal with health insurance coverage for alternative medical treatments. This is an issue that must be addressed by the States. H.R. 3103 only requires that each State implement a mechanism to ensure individual coverage. This bill does increase choices for health care delivery systems by providing for medical savings accounts. With these accounts, Americans can utilize their health care dollars for whatever treatment fits their needs. That is the way to ensure that alternative medical treatments remain available for anyone who wants them.
