I believe it is in our national interest to move forward with this pipeline, and the State Department's 3-year delay in considering this pipeline is a national travesty and I wish it would have happened a lot sooner.
I respectfully ask for the Subcommittee's support of H.R. 1278, and thank you for the opportunity to deliver my testimony today.

I believe you to be truthful in that statement, but someone put pressure on them to not--delay that divulging of that information on Solyndra until after the elections in 2010, and that's very political.
Today I want to know how your now-bankrupt company got $535 million taxpayer-funded loan guarantee from DOE.
This is a critical hearing to examine Solyndra's representation on its financial status to this committee and the Department of Energy.
