I move to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 2882 with further amendment No. 1718. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: The Senator from Oklahoma [Mr. Lankford] moves to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 2822 with further amendment No. 1718. The amendment is as follows: (Purpose: To prohibit funding for the release of special interest aliens from Federal custody during such aliens' proceedings under the Immigration and Nationality Act) At the appropriate place in division C, insert the following: Sec. ___. No funds appropriated by this Act may be used to release from physical custody any alien whom the Secretary of Homeland Security or the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection has determined potentially poses a national security risk to the United States or its interests (commonly referred to as a ``special interest alien'') during the pendency of proceedings for such alien under the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq.), including any related appeals.
