Chairman, really, this is a question for you. And it’s a question to try to figure out how do we get a good answer on this.
That basically puts all of us, House and Senate, Republicans and Democrats, to say you can’t do anything but appropriations, and you’re going to stay there until appropriations is done.
When you vote you may not know for weeks to months what the final election count is.
We need to take government shutdowns off the table and force Congress to stay in town until its work is done.
