PROTECTING VETERANS, SENIORS, PREGNANT WOMEN, AND CHILDREN FROM HUNGER. (a) In General.--Nothing in this Act, or the amendments made by this Act, shall result in a delay in issuing or providing benefits otherwise provided or available to a veteran, elderly or disabled member, pregnant woman, or minor child in the case of a Government shutdown or default. (b) Definitions.--For the purpose of this section, the definitions of ``elderly or disabled members'' and ``benefit'' shall have the respective meanings as defined in the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2012).
