Mr. Chairman, any study that the District may desire to do certainly they have the authority and the capability of doing whatever study. I certainly would not agree with all of the characterizations of the gentleman, but I certainly appreciate his interest in the economic conditions in the District, as well as in the surrounding Northern Virginia area that he represents. However, I think we have all agreed that right now there is a high priority with the District of the New York Avenue Metrorail station, and if the District wants to do a study they can do it. In the meantime, we would like to put this Federal contribution of the $100,000 toward that Metro station at New York Avenue. Mr. Chairman, I ask adoption of the amendment.
