I am sure the gentleman from California will be relieved to know that the principal witness in this matter, Mr. Rota, has already been granted immunity by the Justice Department from any further prosecution for any other acts that he may have committed during his 20 years as Postmaster. It is in paragraph 8 of his plea agreement on file at the Federal courthouse.
