Because the Ethics Committee of this body is sitting on it instead of investigating as it needs to do to get to the bottom of this scandal and hold Members of this institution accountable. We have guilty pleas, and we have Federal court papers identifying that several Members of Congress were involved in embezzlement, and it is time for this institution to get with it and stop the double standard and stop the word games of trying to exempt ourselves from the standards that everybody else in this country must follow.
