I happen to disagree with many of the statements he made about this bill benefiting the rich and wealthy, and so on. I just disagree with it. He is entitled to his own opinion; he is not entitled to his own facts. I want to talk a little bit about the facts and talk a little bit about what is in this bill because I think it has been mischaracterized in this Chamber. I think it is important that we know what is in the bill. Again, I compliment Senator Grassley and Senator Baucus for bringing us this bill today. I think this bill is a giant step in the right direction. It is not perfect. Maybe it can be made better. But I think it is important that we look a little bit at the facts. I believe the facts will show that this bill does not just benefit the wealthy. I think it is a fair tax cut and weighted very much toward low-income people.
