I thank Senate Domenici for his statement. This is a tough issue, and I want him to know that I understand the dilemma he is facing. I appreciate his willingness to work with me on this, and I give him my commitment to support a level of discretionary funding in the budget resolution conference report and throughout the rest of the year that will provide the resources necessary for his committee to fund Yucca Mountain without having to take resources from the other programs in the Energy and water bill if the President's law change is not enacted.
