Before yielding to the gentleman from Texas, I don't think we are going to solve necessarily the philosophical disagreement we have on the death tax because, clearly, we think death is bad enough, it shouldn't be a taxable event; and the gentleman from Colorado thinks it is a preferable tax. On the other one, I would just ask the gentleman from Colorado, Mr. Speaker, whether he thinks that having a temporary deduction for sales tax States like Texas--the gentleman from Texas is about to speak--is fair when we have a permanent deduction for income taxes for States like Ohio.
