Those of us who have been granted life and been able to work in it and enjoy the full fruits of it sometimes lose sight of just exactly where we come from. So this is a matter of conscience, the deep American conscience, especially when those who know and are motivated to do the right thing, those who work with it every day, tell us there is no reason for this procedure. I hope my colleagues will support the override of the President's veto.
