Being that the Senate is made up of about 65 to 70 percent attorneys--and I not being one of those--that was the longest ``yes, I did not ask him any further questions in written form'' I have ever heard. But we have to contend with that in this body. I watched those hearings with a great deal of interest because I believe, as does the Senator from New York, this is a very sensitive and important part of our role in the Senate. However, I think we have injected a double standard here in this case. And I think that case has been made here. But I would say after----

It is pretty clear to me, and I think it was pretty clear to the judge and most other folks who look at this that the State Constitution is pretty specific that only citizens are entitled to vote.
